Expand collaboration in Plural beyond your organization
Overview
Plural Unite workspaces are meant to be used for purposes that may be separate from work specific to your organization. These workspaces allow you to build coalitions and foster communities with people who share your public policy goals.
For example:
-
A public policy professional who has a particular interest in environmental issues may open a Plural Unite workspace and invite their friends so that they can all track legislation they care about
-
Someone who works at a telecommunications company may open a Plural Unite workspace and invite people who work at other telecommunications companies to brainstorm and strategize together
Setting Up a Plural Unite Workspace
Follow these steps to set up a Plural Unite workspace:
-
In the left-hand sidebar, expand the dropdown of workspaces and click “New Workspace”

Tip: Anyone can join your Plural Unite workspace, regardless of whether they are in your organization or if they have yet to set up a Plural user account. Simply invite them to your workspace and they can get started!
Here’s what to expect when using Plural Unite workspaces.
Privacy
An Organization Administrator can see when a Plural Unite workspace is created; however, they cannot see a workspace’s content (e.g. a workspace’s bills, saved searches or tags) unless they join that workspace.
Managing Workspace Members
You can see and manage the members of your Plural Unite workspace in the “Workspace Members” tab of your workspace’s page. To get there, click on the “Users” icon in the header.

Security
Users from outside of your organization will only be able to see and access the specific workspaces they join. They will not be able to see workspaces they are not invited to.
