How to save voice memos in Plural

Save voice memos in Plural to share your progress with teammates while on-the-go.

Public policy professionals are often traveling between the capitol and the office, running from meeting to meeting, and separated from their teammates. The challenges inherent in this work style can make voice memos a convenient way to share information with your team.

Plural makes organizing and sharing these voice memos easy by allowing you to attach them directly to bill or legislator pages.

Not sure how to record a voice memo on your phone or computer? See specific information for your device below:

Once you've recorded a voice memo on your device, there are three places to attach voice memos in Plural:

  1. Within the ‘Activity’ tab in a legislator page
  2. Within the ‘Activity’ tab in a bill page
  3. Within the ‘Activity’ tab in a workspace page

The process to attach a voice memo is the same in each of these spaces:

1. In the text edit section of the 'Activity' tab, click the paperclip icon and you will be prompted to select the voice memo file from your computer or phone.

When to take advantage of integrating voice memos into Plural

  • Record testimony you provide at a bill’s public hearing and attach it to the bill’s page. Anybody on your team viewing the bill page in the future will have your testimony readily available to them as reference of your position.
  • Quickly summarize a meeting with an elected official via voice memo and attach it to the legislator’s page. A voice memo may better capture your thoughts about the conversation and prevents you from having to type up notes later.
  • Record a weekly public policy update call and attach the voice memo in your Plural workspace. Anybody that missed the call, or anybody who wishes to review it, will then have easy access to it.
