How to create & manage a Workspace

A Workspace is the central hub for collaboration centered around a specific public policy issue, project or goal.

Everything you do in Plural happens within a “Workspace.”   Think of your “Workspace” as the go-to place for your team, committee or working group to organize all of your collective work. And just as you may be a part of multiple teams, committees or working groups, there’s no limit to the number of Workspaces that can exist in Plural, or that you can join.

How to Create a New Workspace

Note: only Organization Administrators and Workspace Administrators have the ability to create a new Workspace in Plural. 

To create a new workspace, navigate to the left of your screen, and select the second drop down menu that appears below your organization’s name. Next, select “+NEW WORKSPACE” from this drop down menu, and then follow the prompt to enter a name for your new Workspace and an optional short description.

How to Manage a Workspace

You can access a Workspace Detail page by selecting your desired workspace's name from the second drop down menu towards the top left in Plural.

After selecting your desired workspace, navigate to the "people" icon in the top right corner of your screen to access the Workspace Details page. In the Workspace Details page you can:

How to Edit or Delete a Workspace

Note: only Organization Administrators and Workspace Administrators have the ability to edit or delete a Workspace.

To edit or delete a Workspace, navigate to the Workspace Details page (ensure that you are in the desired workspace) and then click on the “gear” icon towards the top right corner of your screen. From here, you’ll see options to quickly invite a new user, edit your Workspace’s name or description, leave a Workspace or delete the Workspace.
